With coveted support slots for some of Australia's biggest artists (Vera Blue, Thirsty Merc, Kim Churchill, The Rubens, Tia Gostelow, Ruby Fields, Riley Pearce, Katie Noonan), spots at festivals like "Groovin' The Moo" and an Unearthed Comp win already under her belt - the North-Queensland raised singer/songwriter relocated to Melbourne in 2024 where she has continued to grow into her sound and evolve.

With the release of her debut EP in 2026, Matilda marked a new milestone sonically and in her evolution as an artist.

Known for her storytelling, relatability and intriguing use of melody and genre, Matilda Duncan's music is a soft-folk, Indie-pop, alt-rock combination balanced with bare-all lyrics and soaring bridges.

Matilda's songwriting ability was noted by QMusic at an early age when she was offered a mentorship and has been praised by her audience and collaborators.
